Greetings:
I would like to introduce, “Walk Across America Inc.”– a pending non-profit 501 (c ) (3) organization who’s main purpose is to focus on homelessness in America, specifically, homeless veterans.
I began “Kim’s Spiritual Walk Across America”, in 1999, from my hometown of Dayton, Ohio. The journey began in 4 feet of snow, and has continued to offer many challenges much greater than the weather.
My dedication and commitment, has taken me across 16 states, over 4,023 miles, and 23 pair of tennis shoes. All to bring attention to the growing number of homeless people in the United States, address Congress, and ultimately DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Housing, jobs, and education.
Partnering with other non-profits, and/or social agencies allow me the opportunity to serve as a liaison between the local government, and the homeless. The majority of my time is spent collecting data, information, and acquiring live testimonies about the less fortunate in our communities.
I actually interview those willing to share their story regarding their current, homeless situation. More importantly, “how they became homeless, and how I may be of assistance to get one back on his/her feet”. I offer solution, and resolution,
Will you allow me to show you how this is done? I believe that opportunities are presented daily to help someone less fortunate. Won’t you give me this opportunity to share with you, what I have learned, and how to lower the number of our homeless population.
